Wes C. Skiles was an amazing underwater photographer who had many advances in underwater photography. He was born in 1958 and past away in 2010. He lived in High Springs, Florida. He used his skills to go on many scientific underwater explorations. He was a cinematographer as well, and was used in National Geographic films like
National Geographic Antarctica. While shooting he became the first human to step foot on Iceberg B-15. He was recognized as "Diver of the Year" and awarded an Emmy for his work with PBS "Water Series." His photography is very science based, which I love. I like that he can put his skills to use to make something better known. I think that's something that makes you a good journalistic type of photographer- when you can go to another country like, Erika Larson or Wes C. Skiles, and make their way of life known. In this case, it's the fishes life.
